By providing eye care to those in rural areas, we enable them to receive a proper education, giving them access to better jobs, and allowing them to be more productive members of their communities.

Strings for Sight recently sponsored a camp in partnership with Aravind Eye Hospital on April 8th. Over 185 patients from the outskirts of Dharmapuri (Tamil Nadu) were provided ophthalmic treatments including cataract surgery free of cost. Most of these patients came from areas without sophisticated eye care hospitals or facilities. Strings for Sight is grateful for Aravind Eye Hospital and their work on the ground setting a high standard for patient care. This is just the start and the first of many such camps we plan to host over the coming months.
